The view from Casa Palmita is simply stunning.  You can see the ocean from every room in the house or sit out on the large patio and take it all in.  While BBQing your catch of the day or while relaxing in your hammock, you can spot whales, dolphins, manta rays, and pelicans.  Use the private access stairs to the beach below and take a swim after a day full of Yelapa activities.  Casa Palmita is also only a 5-minute walk into town or a short 10 minute walk to the main beach. 

The house is completely enclosed and boasts abundant oversized windows and slidingglass doors faced with screens so you can enjoy the ocean breeze but keep the insects out.  Another highlight of the property is the 7.5 ft long bathtub completed in Mexican style tile work.  Finished with locally handcraftedwoodwork and elegant lighting, Casa Palmita is one of the most beautifully constructed houses in all of Yelapa.

I feel privileged to have been the first guest in La Palmita.  I had four weeks of bliss in this charming casa.  Everything about it was first rate and the view is incredible.  The large terrace overlooking the harbor was perfect for dining, relaxing, and watching the pelicans and other birds.  The location of the condo was very convenient to both the village and to the main beach.  Additionally, the cute village beach is at the foot of the house’s steps.  The interior appointments were excellent with quality china, glasses, pots and pans, and cutlery.  I didn’t want for anything in the way of cooking or dining.  The beds were extremely comfortable.  Fernando came by daily to make sure I had everything I needed and kept the place tidy.  He even brought me fresh fishthat he’d caught on several occasions.  I highly recommend La Palmita to anyone who enjoys first classaccommodations.

Our family had "the time of our lives" experience at MiraMar. From the layout to the lighting, La Palmita is gorgeous accommodations. And the deck... second to none. Whether watching manta rays in the water or townsfolk going about their business, swimming at the bottom of the stairs... or just watching the moon and the stars, the deck was beloved.  We hope to come back again soon, perhaps later this year.

We spent three absolutely wonderful weeks at Casa Palmita with my sister and brother-in-law from the U.K. We give it 5 stars for a great central location, the best in Yelapa. It sits above the quieter local beach with access by steps around the building. We spent many hours on the deck watching the rays swimming in the rocks below and seeing the comings and goings, by boat, of the local commerce.
