The journey is worth it!

YOU’LL LIKELY TRAVEL BY AIR, LAND AND SEA TO GET HERE. Yelapa is a 45 minute boat ride from Pier de los Muertos and a 30 minute boat ride from Boca de Tomatlan.  Details listed below.

AIRPORT: The closest airport is the Gustavo Diaz Ordaz International Airport located in Puerto Vallarta (airport code: PVR). This airport has recently become quite popular so allow time for getting through customs.

MIRAMAR PICK-UP:  We can arrange for pick-up at the airport.  The associated costs are $80 for transportation from the airport and $8/person for the water taxi.  A private boat is $100.  We need your flight information to confirm.  *Airport pick-up service is available for MiraMar guests only.

TAXI (CAR): There are taxi cabs in the airport or across the street. They cost about $25 from the airport to Pier de los Muertos.  Expect to pay double if you go all the way to Boca de Tomatlan.  Across the street from the airport you can snag cabs to Pier de los Muertos for $15.

TAXI (BOAT): When you arrive to Pier de los Muertos, look for the Yelapa travel office.  They have the best fares ($12/person) and will store your luggage until the boat arrives.  Here is a link to the water taxi schedule, but confirm the time with us as the schedule changes frequently.

When you arrive, get off at the town pier (not the beach pier or on the beach).  If you sent us your plans for arrival, we will have someone show you to the house.  Tipping for luggage service is expected and appreciated.
